It probably seemed like the weekend flew by for those who attended the three day2012 Bamboozle Fest in late May of 2012. It would seem to be a success with awesome performances by the fantastic dubstep producer Skrillex on the first day, memorable rock n’ roll jams by the Foo Fighters the second day, and the classic rock tunes of Bon Jovi the third day. So, let’s take one last look at the Bamboozle Festival 2012.
Day 1 (May 18): Asbury Park, New Jersey welcomes all of its guests to kick off this festival that has been ten years in the making. Today fans are psyched to see some awesome performances by SKRILLEX, INCUBUS, MAC MILLER, and a wide variety of different artists with genres ranging from hip hop to hardcore metal! Other artists included WE CAME AS ROMANS and DJE-V.
Day 2 (May 19): With one successful day down and out of the way, fans return from their respected overnight establishments to begin yet another solid day of fun. It seemed that if one was a fan of modern rock music, today was a good day to be attending. Artists on the second day included the FOO FIGHTERS, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, ALL AMERICAN REJECTS, and other great acts like NEVER SHOUT NEVER, THE MAINE and MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK.
Day 3 (May 20): Unfortunately, it’s the last day, but at least fans can look forward to seeing some amazing performances by some of the most notable bands yet (at least according to some peoples’ preferences). Day 3 consisted of the headliners BON JOVI, BRAND NEW, and THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM. In addition, there were performances by BUCKCHERRY, BOYS LIKE GIRLS, LIKE MOTHS TO FLAMES and TEXAS IN JULY.
Overall, it would seem to have been a great three days of music! Bamboozle Fest has come a long way since it evolved from Skate and Surf Festival to The Great Bamboozle in 2003. Its first headliners were Keller Williams, The Roots, and Dark Star Orchestra. To this day, the festival has a group of characters, some being real individuals with fake identities, and others being completely made up. Regardless, they all have their own purpose in the festival to make it run smoothly.
